STLLR: Anthology is a highly abstract and poetic grimoire in the form of a 3D animation film, touching on themes of primordial nucleosynthesis, ancient mystical astrology, and celestial geometry.
The project exists in two formats: a linear film and a non-linear audiovisual installation. It is composed of five chapters, each exploring a non-trivial, custom procedural 3D visualization technique to create a visual metaphor for the hidden underside of human sensation—an uncanny domain inaccessible to ordinary thought.
The animation is primarily created in the Cinema 4D environment and seeks to channel the work of past thinkers and visionaries such as Johannes Kepler, Athanasius Kircher, and the French psychiatrist Gaëtan Gatian de Clérambault, as well as his muse, artist and occult scholar Levania N. Vandervelden, into the digital space of contemporary 3D software.
STLLR: Anthology aims to transport its audience into a radically alien territory at the limits of experience.
